March of Remembrance

March of Remembrance
Sunday, April 7th from 3:00pm – 4:30pm

This year’s community-wide Yom HaShoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day) commemoration will be hosted by Congregation Micah in Brentwood, TN.

For those not in the Nashville area, we encourage you to participate in commemoration activities in your own area. Please visit www.MarchofRemembrance.org to get details on events near you! The March of Remembrance is a simple prayer walk taken annually since 2007 on Yom HaShoah to “honor, educate, remember, & engage.” The observance of this date is a clear signpost to call the issue of anti-Semitism to mind, and it serves as a powerful reminder of what happens when people remain silent about indifference and prejudice. Many community marches feature moving name-reading ceremonies in honor of the deceased, and some include guest speakers who are Holocaust survivors. Make sure you take advantage of this chance to show your support to the remaining victims of these historical atrocities, and remember their stories for another generation.
